“This moving release from Blossom Street Choir celebrates the centenary of women’s suffrage in the UK with a fantastic collection of lesser-known works from women composers like Elizabeth Poston, Judith Weir, and Alison Willis, including 10 world-premiere recordings! In fact, every aspect of this recording was performed by women, including the choral singers and accompanying instrumentalists. I love the statement that Blossom Street and musical director Hilary Campbell are making with this release, and the music is fantastic. Especially in light of Women’s History Month, you need to check out this recording!”

“To celebrate Women’s History Month, I am listening to unCLASSIFIED’s Need to Know: Women of Classical playlist.  In addition to some of classical music’s heavy hitters like Clara Schumann and Fanny Mendelssohn, it also has newer releases by Anna Thorvaldsdottir, Gabriela Montero, Lara Downes, and Rhiannon Giddens!  The spectrum of talent and style is so vast among these amazing women!”

“I’ve been really enjoying playing the Movie Music playlist from unCLASSIFIED during this awards season.  It has a great blend of songs you recognize instantly from favorite films, combined with lesser-known tunes that become fast favorites.  I love listening to the playlist while at the office because it instantly makes me feel like whatever I’m working on is a little more epic.” – Caitlin | LISTEN NOW

“One of the things I love about unClassified is that it helps present classical music to people in a way they may not expect. For those who are not familiar with the classical genre, these playlists provide a fun entry point with classical works that correlate to genres that they may already listen to, like metal music! Many heavy metal artists are in fact classically-trained musicians and are heavily influenced by the classical genre when creating their own music. Ever heard of the term ‘Classical Sauce’ to refer to a beautiful, melodic, needling guitar solo in the middle of a rock song? unClassified helps connect those dots in their playlist Classical Music for Metalheads!” – Kayla | LISTEN NOW

“I have a soft spot for stormy days, especially when I don’t have to go anywhere. I’ve found this Naxos playlist to be an ideal soundtrack for those gray, rainy afternoons when I can curl up by the window with a cup of tea and a good book. It’s heaven for us introverts.” – Dan | LISTEN NOW
