· For this release, David Liebman brought together a quintet
of monumental proportions, which includes pianist Mario
Laginha, guitarist Richardo Pinheiro, bassist Massimo
Cavalli, and percussionist Eric Ineke.

This release, for David, is meant to be warm and user-
friendly, getting to the heart of the matter and leaving out
the unnecessary frills, moreso than his previous recordings.
When David was performing with Miles Davis one evening
in the 1960s, Davis's advice to him was "Stop before you're
done!" This idea of how to say more with less is the whole
inspiration for this album.

The ensemble's experience points to this album's artistic
maturity. The international status of the band does this as
well, with Mario and Ricardo hailing from Portugal, Massimo
coming from Italy, Eric from the Netherlands, and David
from New York.
